Who We Are

The Community Care Closet (CCC) is brought to you with great gratitude for the DBNC community. The CCC is a new initiative starting in January 2023, that will bring access to food, health/ personal care products, and clothing for clients in need. This is our way of lending a helping hand to our community as best we can after the severe state we are left in after the Pandemic. Many individuals and families experienced job loss and lowered incomes during this time, which is still negatively impacting people’s ability to survive and provide for the household. We see you, we hear you and we want to intervene the best we can. Our goal is to build our community while preventing food and clothing insecurity in the DBNC area.

We are actively accepting donations, including:

  • Baby items- bottles, clothes, swaddles, burping rags, formula etc.
  • Canned and Packaged Foods– soups, chili, coffee/tea, spices, pasta, pasta sauces, rice, Kraft Dinner, Peanut butter, Jams, Tuna fish, granola bars, cereals, oatmeal, beans, stews, boxed juices, water etc.) – International canned foods are highly encouraged!
  • Unused and unopened personal care products- soaps, cleansers, lotions, deodorants, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine products etc.
  • Kitchenware
  • Toilet paper

We are not accepting
CLOTHING DONATIONS
until further notice

While we are grateful for any donations received, we ask that no fresh food or fresh produce be left in the pantry, as well as expired foods.

More information about the launch date and days/times the CCC will be open are coming soon.
